Senior Business Analyst - Web Projects

For this role, you should have experience in online projects, mobile app based projects or a background as a BA in the retail industry. You will definitely be an expert in the online world (preferably online retailing) and will be fully across the need to construct high quality user experience. You may come from another retail organisation, large corporate strongly geared towards online business or even a start-up in the online area.

The responsibilities of the role include;

  • Definition of new functionality in order to deliver business solutions
  • Participating in business planning, needs analysis and risk assessment
  • Working with business and technology teams to lead/drive the definition, elicitation, prioritisation and validation of business requirements and design of business processes to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Effective engagement of business partners, project stakeholders ensuring that the recommended solution is aligned to the targeted business outcomes, justifying the solution
  • Planning, estimating and reporting on Business Analysis activities and deliverables
To succeed in this role you will have:
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • A minimum 3 years experience in a Senior Business Analyst role, within a large organisation
  • Solid experience in workshop facilitation, negotiation and influencing key project stakeholders to derive business needs
  • Demonstrable ability to elicit, analyse, develop and manage business requirements, relate these to business processes, and ensure alignment with Corporate and Technology strategies
  • Proficiency in evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, identifying and resolving conflicts
  • Evidence to show how you contribute to and lead projects that meet business strategy needs and deliver improvements in practices
Other skills that will be highly regarded are:
  • Experience in an Agile or hybrid Agile environment
  • Retail Experience, preferable in a multi-brand organisation
  • Proficient experience in BPM and process improvement
  • IIBA or ESI Certification; or equivalent; or working towards same
